Does Mountain Laurel do well in our area?

Hi Penny!

Does mountain laurel do better than rhododendron in our area? We have

some mountain laurel growing in the shady woods and they look lovely.

Even after the flowers fade, the trunks and branches are interesting.

We've tried to air layer them without success. Does anyone know where

one can buy native white mountain laurel plants? Thanks, Janice
