My Mahonia is turning Red!

From Carol Ann

Hello, Penny. I have a mahonia which has developed some red leaves in the past few weeks. I don't think it is rust because the leaves are not distorted or puckered. As I have had this plant for only 2 years, I don't know what or if this is a problem. Please advise. Thank you.

Hi Carol Ann,

Currently, I don't have a picture of your Mahonia to see the problem, so it is hard to gauge. Here is a list of common problems that Mahonias have: https://www.gardenguides.com/94462-plant-problems-mahonia.html

It could be rust or botrytis, or pest problems. If i can see a picture of it, I might be able to help you further.
