Weeds/Can You Tell Me What This Is? Carolina Geranium!

Hi, Penny, I have been tackling the weeds in my garden but am not sure about this one. I don't recall planting it so I assume it is a weed? I've looked at several weed identification sites but can't find it. It may not be as very good photo. The petals form a small circle on long stems. Can you help? Thanks very much, Sherry

I have raised several types of native flowers from seed in a flat that I want to transplant into my pollinator patch. I have put them outside on the deck for the past couple of weeks to get them accustomed to the weather. They are healthy but still pretty small. How big do they need to be to be safely put into the ground?
